In the second decade of May, the Pacific Fleet (PF) starts deliveries of goods to the hard-to-reach northern territories, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
Seven dry cargo ships and tankers of companies and organizations of the auxiliary fleet of the PF will be involved in transportation.
About 10,000 tons of POL materials, coal, firewood, munitions and food are to be delivered to 30 lighthouses and hard-to-reach areas of the Okhotsk Sea, the Kuril Islands, Bering Island, Anadyr and Magadan.
With upcoming frosts, permanent navigation will be closed; only Kamchatka and the Magadan region will be accessible for ships.
