Representatives of 'PP of SPb MF' PLC took part in the 'Organization of passenger water transport' Round Table

On May 26th the representatives of Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg «Marine Façade» ("PP of SPb MF" PLC) participated in the "Organization of passenger water transport" Round Table during the International Innovative Forum of Public Transport “Smart Transport” in the congress and exhibition center "Expoforum", says press center of Marine Façade.

Since 2015 the Forum is the biggest event for demonstration of transport project of the North-West and of the innovative solutions and specialized business program realized as open dialog in the scope of public transport.

Water Transport Session was opened by the  Moderator - Deputy Chairman of the Transport Committee of St. Petersburg Alexei Lvov. In opening speech he noted the unique location of St. Petersburg and the importance of the waterway to the city.
He also marked the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg with its innovative technologies as one of the largest and most important infrastructure projects of St. Petersburg.
Alexei Lvov named the port - a brilliant example of a successful public-private partnership.

The presentation of "PP of SPb MF" PLC was dedicated to the main trends of the global cruise market and the Baltic and the Russian cruise markets. The Port representatives gave a brief summary of the cruise ship calls and passenger traffic statistics and in St. Petersburg. They discussed in detail the infrastructure projects implemented in the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg and highlighted the key challenges of development.

Also they stressed out the importance of cooperation between market participants at all levels to promote successfully St. Petersburg as a cruise destination.
The round table was also attended by the representatives of The St. Petersburg State Institution External Transport Agency, ST.PETER LINE, Neva Travel company, Vympel Shipyard and Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard.

Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg «Marine Façade» PLC is in the ownership of the city of St. Petersburg and is the largest passenger seaport in Russia. Construction of Marine Façade began in 2006. The port can accommodate cruise and ferry ships of up to 330 m long and with a draft of up to 8.8 m. The length and depth of new access channels - 10 km and 11 m, accordingly. The port operates seven piers. The quay-side length – 2,171.06 m.
