In January-May 2016, the port of Vyborg handled 455,100 t of cargo (-17%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo fell by 10% to 344,100 t including 113,000 t of coal and coke (+16%) and 219,100 t of mineral fertilizers (-18%).
Transshipment of dry loose cargo fell by 75% to 21,600 t, liquid bulk cargo – up 22% to 33,500 t.
Transport of general cargo climbed by 65% to 31,000 t, transshipment of timber totaled 24,600 t (-24%).
In 2015, the port of Vyborg handled 1.55 mln t of cargo (-8%, year-on-year).
