The cruise vessel m/s Artania to call Turku on 1 July at 10 a.m

M/s Artania is arriving from Stockholm and departing the same evening for Helsinki. It is the largest ship of Phoenix Seereisen fleet with a length of 231 m. Artania is also the largest cruise vessel to have called Turku, twice in 2011. It is a classic cruise vessel with a maximum capacity of 1200 passengers and a crew of 520 members. The cruise passengers are mainly German, and many are repeat passengers.

Artania was built in 1984 and has since gone through major renovation, latest in 2014. The cabins are spacious and all of them are outside cabins with either a large panorama window or a balcony.

Artania departed from Kiel on 27 June for a two-week-cruise on the Baltic Sea. In addition to Turku she will call eight destinations on the Baltic Sea for a day, and for two days in Saint Petersburg.

In Turku the cruise passengers take part in various shore excursions including a city bus tour with stops at Turku castle and cathedral, a sightseeing bus tour in Turku and Naantali as well as a cruise in the archi-pelago to Naantali.
