Russian Railways' network loading up 1.8% to 599.5 mln t in HI’2016
In January-June 2016, the network of Russian Railways loaded 599.5 mln t, up 1.8%, the Company’s press center says.
In the reported period the railways shipped the following goods:
coal – 162.1 mln t (+4.2%, year-on-year); coke – 5.6 mln t (+0.6%); crude and oil products– 116.5 mln t (-8.2%); iron and manganese ores – 54.9 mln t (+1.6%); ferrous metal – 35.6 mln t (-1.7%); ferrous metal scrap – 6.9 mln t (-3.7%); chemical and mineral fertilisers – 26.3 mln t (+3.6%); cement – 12.7 mln t (-6%); timber – 21.9 mln t (+7.6%); grain – 8.4 mln t (+7.4%); construction materials – 68.8 mln t (+20.9%); non-ferrous ore and sulphur feedstock – 10.4 mln t (+4%); chemicals and soda – 12.7 mln t (+2.2%); industrial feedstock and moulded materials – 15.8 mln t (-3.4%).
From the year beginning freight turnover totaled 1,140.1 bln tariff ton-km (+1.5%). Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs was 1461.6 bln ton-km (+1.2%).
In June, Russian Railways loaded 101.3 mln t, up 4.2%, year-on-year.
Freight turnover in June climbed by 1.9% to 188.4 bln tariff ton-km. Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs climbed by 1.6% to 241.2 bln ton-km.
