Danish Shipowners' Association launches study on shipping CO2 emissions reduction

The global climate summit COP21 in Paris last year ruled that all parts of the world's economy sectors should contribute to reduction of the global temperature growth. Danish Shipowners' Association supports the global reduction of emissions from shipping and several Danish shipping companies have launched a number of initiatives to limit CO2 emissions, DSA said in a press release.
 
But when it comes to quantify how much the companies can reduce emissions and the consequences, then there is need for more facts to substantiate the figures. Therefore Shipowners' Association is now conducting with support from Danish Maritime Fund a study of CO2 emissions to find opportunities for emissions reduction, DSA said.
