Admiral Ushakov Maritime State University has held a graduation ceremony for its cadets, the University told IAA PortNews. This year has seen the graduation of a record high number of electrical officers – 36. Diplomas were also received by ship engineers and more than 130 navigators.
The educational programme included some new disciplines - Navigation and Sailing Directions, Nautical Astronomy, Operational Use of Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems, E-Navigation, Leadership and Teamwork, Maritime Search and Rescue, etc.
