On July 16, 2016, nuclear-powered icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy of FSUE Atomflot left for this year’s third cruise to the North Pole. FSUE Atomflot says the icebreaker is carrying more than 90 tourists.
The ship is expected back at her homeport Murmansk on July 22.
On June 16, 2016, nuclear-powered icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy of FSUE Atomflot left the port of Murmansk for this year’s first cruise to the North Pole. The world’s largest icebreaker was carrying 132 tourists from Asia and Europe. The voyage lasted for 11 days.
