ZIM has announced the restructuring and upgrade of its Mediterranean West Africa service (MAF) starting the end July 2016.
The new structure offers significant improvements, including:
Wider ports coverage
Efficient transshipment arrangements:
USA, Canada, Central America and Med Southbound via Tarragona, South America via Tangier
NB from West Africa via Valencia
Direct service to the Italian market with two direct calls - La Spezia & Genoa
Vastly improved transit time to Abidjan, Tema & Takoradi
Tailor-made solutions for Dangerous Cargo, Out of Gauge and break bulk
Inland locations in Ghana and Mali
The service will deploy 5X1850 TEU vessels with an 8-day frequency at first stage, with the following port rotation:
La Spezia - Genoa - Tarragona - Castellon - Valencia - Algeciras - Tangier - Dakar - Abidjan -Lagos - Tema - Takoradi - Abidjan - La Spezia
