Cruise ship Sun Princess makes her first call at port Vladivostok (photo)

Cruise ship Sun Princess made her first call at port Vladivostok on July 17, 2016. As Roman Shchepov, deputy Director General of shipping agency Erma, told IAA PortNews, the ship carried 1,907 passengers 90% of which are Australia and New Zealand citizens. Other tourists are from the US, Great Britain, Italy, etc. The ship crew numbers 857 members.   

The trans-Pacific cruise began in Ausralia. The port of Vladivostok is visited after the port Busan (Republic of Korea). Then the ship will sail to Hakodate (Japan). 

A welcome ceremony and a first-call ceremony were arranged for the tourists and the crewmembers at the passenger terminal. The stay time 15 hours.   

The Sun Princess (length – 261.31 m, draught – 8.1 m) flies the flag of the Bermuda Islands and is owned by Holland-America Group comprising Holland-America Line, Princess Cruises, Seabourn and P&O Australia. 

That was the forth call of a cruise ship to the port of Vladivostok this season. The next and the last call in 2016 is scheduled for October 20. The port of Vladivostok will welcome Pacific Venus (Japan).
