In the 1st half of 2016 LLC “Marine Recruiting Agency” (MRA) prepared 1 083 specialists for port, road construction and warehouse professions which exceeds by 17% the figures for the same period of the last year, says press center Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg. The growth of indicators was caused by extension of geography of work of MRA with the ports of Baltic, Black, Kara and Caspian Sea.
The professions in most demand were docker, slingsman, fork-lift driver. 280 people mastered these professions which exceeds 2.4 times the figures of the first half of the last year. The demand for profession of mooring master increased 2.8 times – it was mastered by 111 people. Road construction and warehouse professions were chosen by 63 gradutes – by 63% less than in the 1st half of 2015.
499 people participated in specialized programmes for advanced training. Students were trained in crane equipment in particular mobile rubber-tyred cranes - Liebherr, vessel and electrical gantry cranes.
In January-June of 2016 130 students were trained in MRA at the territory of OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” which is exceeds by 31% the figures of the first half of the last year.
85 students mastered a profession of tallyman. 18 students were from Sea Technical Colledge, 33 from Saint-Petersburg Sea Fishing College and 34 – from College of State University of Sea and River Fleet named after admiral S.O. Makarov. Professions “Mechanic of Handling Equipment” and “Electrician of Lifting Equipment” were mastered by 45 students of State University of Sea and River Fleet named after admiral S.O. Makarov.С.О.– 31 and 14 respectively.
For students of universities MRA developed specialized adjusted programmes which take into consideration their basic knowledge allowing to master additional professions.
LLC “Marine Recruiting Agency” – recruiting company representing interests of transport logistic, construction and other companies of North-Western region in sphere of recruiting, training and provision of temporary personnel. SRA was established in 2001 and is a subsidiary company of OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg”.
Since January 01, 2016 the company has been accredited by Federal Service on Labour and Employment for performing the activities related to provision of personnel.
Agency has its own Training Centre with own technical infrastructure. Its functions are primary training, re-qualification and advanced training on the basis of various educational programmes.
OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (included in UCL Port – stevedoring division of the International transportation group UCL Holding) – is the largest operator, rendering services on handling of all types of dry cargoes in the Greater Port of Saint-Petersburg. It operates by modern multipurpose specialized terminals for handling of general and bulk cargoes and specialized terminals for ro-ro cargoes. In 2015 the turnover of the company amounted to 7.9 mln tons.
