Throughput of Multipurpose Reloading Complex (Ust-Luga) in HI’2016 reduced by 3% to 1.98 mln t
In January-June 2016, LLC “Multipurpose Reloading Complex” (MRC) in port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad region) handled 1.98 mln t of cargo (-3%, year-on-year).
The result was caused by the decrease of coal exports by the Company’s key clients amid the foreign market situation. In the reported period, coal transshipment fell by 6% to 1.83 mln t.
Meanwhile, the terminal increased imports of manganese ore – up 79% to 0.15 mln t.
Average daily handling of railcars at the terminal amounted to 136 open-top railcars per day, maximum — 299 open-top railcars per day. In the reported period, the terminal handled 26,130 open-top railcars and 44 vessels.
LLC “Multipurpose Reloading Complex” (included in UCL Port- stevedoring division of the International transportation group UCL Holding) is a cargo terminal in the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region, specializing in reception, storage and shipment of export and import general and bulk cargoes. Main cargo reloaded by the company is export power generating coal. In 2015, MRC handled 4.2 mln t of cargo.
