In January-July 2016, the network of Russian Railways loaded 703.9 mln t, up 1.8%, the Company’s press center says.
In the reported period the railways shipped the following goods:
coal – 187.7 mln t (+3.8%, year-on-year); coke – 6.6 mln t (+1.5%); crude and oil products – 136.5 mln t (-7.8%); iron and manganese ores – 63.9 mln t (+1.4%); ferrous metal – 41.4 mln t (-1.5%); ferrous metal scrap – 8.3 mln t (-4.1%); chemical and mineral fertilisers – 30.6 mln t (+2.7%); cement – 15.7 mln t (-5.4%); forest cargo – 25.5 mln t (+7.6%); grain – 9.5 mln t (+6.9%); construction materials – 83.4 mln t (+19%); non-ferrous ore and sulphur feedstock – 12.3 mln t (+4.3%); chemicals and soda – 14.8 mln t (+1.8%); industrial feedstock and moulded materials – 19.3 mln t (-0.1%).
From the year beginning freight turnover totaled 1,338.2 bln tariff ton-km (+1.4%). Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs was 1,713.7 bln ton-km (+1%).
In July, Russian Railways loaded 104.4 mln t, up 1.6%, year-on-year.
Freight turnover in July climbed by 0.5% to 197.6 bln tariff ton-km. Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs declined by 0.1% to 251.6 bln ton-km.
