Fast patrol boat Mangust undergoes drydocking, repair at Aleksino Port Marina Shipyard (photo)
Novorossiysk based Aleksino Port Marina Shipyard on August 11, 2016 commenced dry docking of “Mangust” (Mongoose), a fast patrol boat of the FSB coast guard, the shipbuilding company said on Thursday.
Routine repairs will be carried out within the framework of the state contract with the involvement of subcontractors.
"Drydocking of ships and support vessels includes survey, repair, sandblasting and painting the underwater hull, inspection and repair of propellers, rudders, of retractable equipment, and other repair work,” the shipbuilding company said.
General characteristics: dock weight - 30 tonnes; length - 19.5 m; breadth - 4.4 m; draft - 1.2 m; hull is made of aluminum alloy.
Novorossiysk based Aleksino Port Marina is the largest in the Azov-Black Sea basin ship repair complex, owned by Delo Group. The company offers diverse dock repair and maintenance of the Russian Navy's surface ships, of the FSB's Boarder Guard boats, of vessels of harbor and service fleet in Novorossiysk, the Black sea.
