Over 40% of Krylov State Research Center specialists are graduates of Saint-Petersburg State Marine Technical University

Krylov State Research Center numbers of 3,000 specialists with graduates of Saint-Petersburg State Marine Technical University exceeding 40%, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Valery Polovinkin, Advisor to Director General of Krylov Center.

Valery Polovinkin said that establishment of basic departments is a wise decision as they are considered as a possibility to supply the University with the most advanced laboratory benches.

The process of education includes fundamental knowledge, for which the university is responsible, and practical skills, which is the responsibility of both the educational institution and, primarily, the employer. As soon as symbiosis of the educational institution and the manufacturer is up and running the training of specialists will get on the right track,” said Valery Polovinkin.

Saint Petersburg State Marine Technical University is a Russia's only university, which prepares world-class marine engineers expertise in design, construction and maintenance of ships, surface ships and submarines.
