In January-August 2016, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 31.83 mln t of cargo (-8%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products fell by 35% to 4.14 mln t, dry bulk cargo – down 17% to 4.49 mln t, general cargo – up 4% to 8.27 mln t.
Transshipment of dry loose cargo increased 2.1 times, year-on-year, to 153,000 t.
The port’s container throughput increased by 1% to 1,162,346 TEUs.
In 2015, the port handled 51.51 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.71 mln TEUs.
