From October 1, 2016, air/sea/railway check points at the Free Port of Vladivostok start round-the-clock operation, automobile check points expand their operation hours, Aleksei Starichkov, Director of Primorsky Territory’s Department for International Cooperation, and Igor Khrushchev, Director of FSUE Rostranstroi’s Vladivostok Branch, said at the media briefing on September 23.  

Igor Khrushchev also said that reconstruction of Kraskino and Pogranichny check points would begin this year within the framework of the Federal Targeted Programme “State Border of the Russian Federation” for 2012-2021.

Federal Law of the Russian Federation (No 212-FZ) "On the Free Port of Vladivostok", came into force on October 12, 2015. Free Port regime provides for a wide range of preferences and tax benefits.

Porto franco regime of the Freeport of Vladivostok is expanded to 16 municipalities in the Primorsky Territory including their water areas. E-declaration and one-stop principle for all border control procedures will be applied at the Freeport of Vladivostok from October 1. The work on introduction of a simplified visa regime is in progress.
