Russia, Turkey look into arranging a cruise service on the Black Sea

Mixed Russia-Turkey Intergovernmental Trade Commission has discussed a possibility of arranging a cruise service on the Black Sea between the ports of the Russian ports of the North Caucasus and Crimea and the ports of Turkey. According to RF Ministry of Transport, the parties agreed to hold consultations involving experts of the two countries’ port authorities in Istanbul in November-December 2016.

Besides, the parties discussed the issues related to the operation of a rail-ferry line between the ports of Samsun and Kavkaz and agreed on its improvement.

Victor Olersky, Deputy Transport Minister of Russia – Head of Federal Marine and River Transport Agency, took part in the meeting held in Istanbul on 10-12 October 2016.
