Murmansk Region Development Corporation to purchase a passenger ship for Arctic cruises

Murmansk Region Development Corporation (MRDC JSC) is going to purchase a passenger ship for Arctic cruises, IAA PortNews correspondent  cites Olga Kuznetsova, regional Minister for Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, as saying at the international forum “Water Tourism”.

The Minister explained that MRDC, a joint stock company established by the regional government, is looking into arranging tourist routes from Murmansk to Spitsbergen and Franz Josef Land  with the use of this vessel.

Olga Kuznetsova also said that the newly reconstructed passenger terminal building inaugurated in Murmansk on 4 October 2016 and currently run by FSUE Rosmorport can be handed over to Murmansk Region Development Corporation. The issue is under discussion now.
