In January-October 2016, the network of Russian Railways loaded 103.4 mln t, up 0.8%, the Company’s press center says.
In the reporting period the railways shipped the following goods:
coal – 268.5 mln t (+1.9%, year-on-year); coke – 9.7 mln t (+4.1%); crude and oil products – 194.2 mln t (-6.7%); iron and manganese ores – 91.5 mln t (+0.8%); ferrous metal – 58.6 mln t (-2.1%); ferrous metal scrap – 12.6 mln t (-2.6%); chemical and mineral fertilisers – 43.8 mln t (+3.4%); cement – 23.7 mln t (-6.3%); forest cargo – 35.2 mln t (+6.7%); grain – 14.9 mln t (+1.9%); construction material – 123.1 mln t (+11.3%); non-ferrous ore and sulphur feedstock – 17.91 mln t (+4.7%); chemicals and soda – 21 mln t (+2%); industrial feedstock and moulded materials – 29.1 mln t (-0.9%).
From the year beginning freight turnover totaled1,934.4 bln tariff ton-km (+1.5%). Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs was 2,474.8 bln ton-km (+1.3%).
In October, Russian Railways loaded 103.4 mln t (-3.3%, year-on-year).
Freight turnover in October climbed by 1.8% to 202.5 bln tariff ton-km . Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs was 259.6 bln ton-km (+2%).
