Some media sources have misinterpreted the sale of Kamsarmax vessel MV Bavang to mean that Klaveness is exiting the dry bulk shipping business. This is not correct, the company said in its press release.
The sale was related only to asset management and not the commercial activities in the Dry Bulk market. In fact, Klaveness has grown its fleet from 80 to 130 dry bulk vessels from 2011 to 2016.
Klaveness has also increased its global network and is currently present in Singapore, Shanghai, Manila, South Africa, Brazil and Oslo.
