In January-November 2016, the network of Russian Railways loaded 1.117 bln t, up 0.6%, the Company’s press center says.
In the reporting period the railways shipped the following goods:
coal – 297.6 mln t (+1.6%); coke – 10.7 mln t (+4.6%); crude and oil products – 214.3 mln t (-6.4%); iron and manganese ores – 100.5 mln t (+0.6%); ferrous metal – 64.7 mln t (-1.2%); ferrous metal scrap – 13.8 mln t (-2%); chemical and mineral fertilisers – 48.5 mln t (+3.7%); cement – 25.4 mln t (-6.4%); forest cargo – 38.5 mln t (+7.2%); grain – 16.9 mln t (+1.9%); construction material – 132.6 mln t (+9.2%); non-ferrous ore and sulphur feedstock – 19.5 mln t (+3.9%); chemicals and soda – 23.3 mln t (+2.3%); industrial feedstock and moulded materials – 32.3 mln t (-0.4%).
From the year beginning freight turnover totaled2,133.9 bln tariff ton-km (+1.5%). Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs was 2,730.5 bln ton-km (+1.3%).
In November, Russian Railways loaded 102.2 mln t (0.9%, year-on-year).
Freight turnover in November climbed by 0.9% to 199.1 bln tariff ton-km . Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs was 255.3 bln ton-km (+0.9%).
