Under equipment modernization programme JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (SPSP, a member of UCL Holding) has purchased four fork-lift trucks (FLTs) KALMAR DCG 100-6, the port says in a press release. The vehicles were delivered from Sweden.
The FLTs of 10 tons capacity and hoist height of up to 5.5 m shall be used for handling of general cargoes at the First and the Second cargo areas. The FLTs are equipped with onboard electronics which monitors all the main systems and provides for quick diagnosing of problems. LED equipment ensures a better visibility and provides for operational safety under any weather conditions. Furthermore, the FLT’s driver’s cabin complies with modern standards of ergonomics.
Since the beginning of the year it has been the fourth supply of new equipment to the port. Before the end of the year the company is awaiting delivery of eight 8-ton loaders ТСМ and ten loaders UNICARRIERS of 2.5 tons hoisting capacity for handling of aluminum, big-bags and other general cargoes.
