Stena Line ensures a ferry timetable that is more frequent and more adapted to client needs

To strengthen its business position in Scandinavia, as well as to serve the rising demand, the company Stena Line ensures a ferry timetable that is more frequent and more adapted to client needs and it also provides a long-term growth-orientated solution with a new timetable, says The Free Port of Ventspils Authority.

As the demand for the ferry service is rapidly increasing, the company Stena Line is developing and enhancing its services by modifying ferry timetables and introducing an additional ferry. The company is elaborating a new business concept focusing on Northern Baltic Sea region development, which will strengthen its market position in the Baltic Sea.

Ventspils will be positioned as the gateway to Scandinavia, thus reinforcing the route Ventspils-Nynäshamn. The ferry Stena Flavia will be completely redirected to this route, while previously it also operated between Ventspils and Travemünde. The travel time on the route Ventspils-Nynäshamn will be considerably reduced and the number of ferry departures will be increased by 30 %. Starting from 3 January 2017, instead of the usual 18 weekly crossings, 24 crossings per week will be available on this route.
