In January-December 2016, Russian coal exports climbed by 16.5%, year-on-year, to 163,582,000 t, the Ministry of Energy statistics said.
In December, coal exports totaled 14,238,000 t.
Coal production in December totaled 35,155,000 t (31.5 mln t supplied).
