In January-December 2016, seaport of Azov handled 9,755,000 t (+0.8%, year-on-year), the port Harbour Master Vladimir Bragin told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period, transshipment of grain climbed by 4.1% to 5.564 mln t, oil products – by 3.8% to 3.1 mln t while coal transshipment dropped by 47.6% to 367,000 t.
In January-December 2016, internal turnover of Azov seaport was flat, year-on-year, at 6,661,000 t, exports grew by 11.6% to 4,049,000 t, transit – by 2.7% to 3,094,000 t. Imports fell by 7.3% to 260,000 t, short-sea traffic – by 14.7% to 2,351,000 t.
The number of arrivals/departures amounted to 3,828 / 3,796 against 4,109 / 4,114 registered in Jan-Dec'15.
Sea port Azov is located in the mouth of river Don.
