In January-December 2016, the port of Rostov-on-Don handed 19.385 mln t of cargo (+13.3%, year-on-year), Acting Harbour Master of Rostov-on-Don port Vladimir Kalashnikov told IAA PortNews.
Transshipment of crude and oil products climbed by 32.7% to 6.873 mln t, grain – by 20.8% to 6.6 mln t, coal and coke – by 1.5% to 1.402 mln t, metal scrap – by 15.5% to 983,000 t, liquid bulk food – by 19.7% to 455,000 t.
Transshipment of non-grain bulk cargo fell by 6.1% to 2.960 mln t, general cargo – by 25.7% to 480,000 t, metal – down 3.5 times to 127,000 t.
In the reporting period, loading at the port increased by 12.6% to 12.673 mln t, transit – by 30.4% to 5.911 mln t. Unloading fell by 39.5% to 801,000 t.
The number of arrivals/departures increased to 6,474 / 6,524 against 6,332 / 6,314 a year ago.
Bunkering at the port of Rostov-on-Don increased by 38% to 107,400 t.
