In January-December 2016, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 2,363,600 t of cargo, down 19.4%, year-on-year, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of coal fell by 8.6% to 632,800t, oil products – by 47.4% to 371,600 t, ferrous metal – down 4.6 times to 82,000 t, while transshipment of grain grew by 15.1% to 1,148,300 t.
Exports dropped by 24.6% to 1,652,400 t, imports – by 43.2% to 33,200 t, short-sea traffic – by 0.8% to 678,000 t.
In January-December, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 644 arrivals and 634 departures against 965 arrivals and 966 departures in 2015.
