Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) is warning that an ice advisory has been issued by Odessa Sea Port Authority in Ukraine due to ice forming in the port harbour, the company said in its press release.
From 00:00 on 18 January until further notice, all vessels without ice class classification will need to present a guarantee letter to the Harbour Master and may face restrictions – around 95% of vessels are likely to be affected. All ice class vessels can continue to operate without restrictions.
The port of Odessa is the largest seaport in Ukraine and one of the largest ports in the Black Sea basin.
