Port Vanino OJSC acquires new dust suppression equipment

Port Vanino OJSC is going to put into operation four units of new snow generating equipment. The stevedoring company says the equipment will be delivered in the first decade of February 2017.

Snow generators of European origin can produce 70 cbm of snow per hour. Snow mist can cover an area with a radius of up to 100 m.

In late 2016 Commercial Seaport Vanino (Port Vanino OJSC) tested its dust suppression system intended for operation under subzero temperatures. According to the company, the system was tested in late November. It consists of a snowmaking unit with an integrated pump.  The system creates a snow curtain with a powerful ventilator used to distribute powder snow for lodging of dust particles.

Commercial Seaport Vanino (Port Vanino OJSC) is one of the largest stevedoring companies at the port of Vanino. Apart from multi-purpose berths it operates ferry, container and alumina terminals as well as PORT FLEET deployed for mooring operations, transportation of passengers and supply of ships with water. Shareholders of Port Vanino as of December 31, 2015: Opern Trade Ltd (Cyprus) – 17.76% of the authorized capital (23.68% of ordinary shares), Titan CJSC — 18.75% (24.99%), Statula Holdings Ltd (Cyprus) — 16.23% (21.64%).
