In January-December 2016, the port of Vyborg handled 1,381,700 t of cargo (-11%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo fell by 3% to 1,233,900 t including 615,200 t of coal and coke (+14%) and 524,900 t of mineral fertilizers (-16%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo plunged by 31% to 37,000 t.
Transshipment of general cargo climbed by 13% to 65,800 t with metal scrap and packaged cargo showing growth (packaged cargo transshipment up 2.2 time), other general cargo - decrease.
In 2015, the port of Vyborg handled 1.55 mln t of cargo (-8%, year-on-year).
