In January 2017, port Kavkaz handled 1.326 mln t of cargo (+19%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Kavkaz Yevgeny Tuzinkevich told IAA PortNews.
Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 367,500 t of export cargo (+78%, year-on-year).
Transshipment of oil products increased by 23% to 1.326 mln t, sulphur and mineral fertilizers— by 17% to 97,100 t. In the reporting period, the port handled 89,500 t of grain (no grain was handled in January 2016). Transshipment of LPG plunged by 67% to 12,300 t.
Exports from port Kavkaz fell by 23% to 37,700 t, imports doubled to 12,600 t, short-sea traffic grew by 6% to 895,100 t.
Passenger turnover climbed by 10% to 177,239 passengers.
Bunker sales at the port declined by 13% to 13,100 t.
The number of calls increased by 4% to 1,325 calls.
