A naming ceremony for two LPG carriers of SIBUR intended for the port of Ust-Luga was held at the Port of Pusan (Republic of Korea) in January 2017. LPG carrier were given the names of Russian rivers – Navigator Luga and Navigator Yauza – crossing the territory of SIBUR activities. SIBUR says the tankers will be deployed for regular round-the-year transportation of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from an LPG terminal in commercial sea port Ust-Luga.
The tankers have been chartered by SIBUR under a long-term contract with Navigator Gas. LPG carriers built by Hyundai MIPO have a capacity of 23,500 cbm and 1B ice class allowing for round-the-year transportation from the port of Ust-Luga.
The Navigator Luga is expected at the port of Ust-Luga in early March 2017, the Navigator Yauza in early May 2017.
The terminal is owned by Russian Direct Investment Fund and co-investors, operator – SIBUR.
