The Spanish government approved the Stevedores Port Law Reform last Friday. In the meantime, the negotiations continue between employers and trade unions. However, no agreement has been reached and until then the Stevedore Union has called strikes, Samskip said in its press release.
The new actions are planned three days per week (Monday, Wednesday & Friday) on the odd hours. The strikes will take place on the 6th, 8th, 10th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 20th, 22nd and 24th of March.
The current operations in various Spanish ports are already disrupted due to low productivity levels.
