Severomorsk major anti-submarine ship crossed the equator and reached Seychelles in course of his trip in the Indian Sea, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
The servicemen have been conducting different tasks since the middle of January. The Severomorsk left the base on November 16, 2016. The ship crew provided secure of the Northern Fleet ship grouping headed by the Admiral of the Soviet Union Fleet Kuznetsov during combat operation near the Syrian coast.
On February 9-15, the ship was participating in the AMAN 2017 naval exercise. The exercise took place in the Arabian Sea and a naval base of Pakistan.
During the trip, the ship crew conducted different exercises and successfully detected foreign submarines using the deck-based aviation.
