In January-February 2017, the port of Rostov-on-Don handed 1.382 mln t of cargo (+4.5%, year-on-year), Acting Harbour Master of Rostov-on-Don port Andrei Iovlev told IAA PortNews.
Transshipment of crude and oil products climbed by 22.5% to 437,000 t, coal and coke – up 2.5 times to 223,000 t, Transshipment of grain fell by 16.2% to 365,000 t, non-grain bulk cargo – by 13% to 154,000, liquid food – by 2.2% to 97,000 t, metal scrap – by 30.3% to 65,000 t, general cargo – by 44.7% to 36,800 t.
In the reporting period, loading at the port increased by 4.2% to 1.320 mln t, unloading – by 12% to 63,000 t. No transit cargo was handled in the reporting period, just like a year ago.
The number of arrivals/departures decreased to 329/323 against 344/344 a year ago.
Bunkering at the port of Rostov-on-Don increased by 74% to 11,600 t.
