In January-February 2017, port Kavkaz handled 2.445 mln t of cargo (+9%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Kavkaz Yevgeny Tuzinkevich told IAA PortNews.
Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 578,000 t of export cargo (+58%, year-on-year).
Transshipment of sulphur and mineral fertilizers increased by 8% to 207,400 t. In the reporting period, the port handled 125,300 t of grain (no grain was handled in January 2016). Transshipment of oil products declined by 2% to 910,000 t, transshipment of LPG plunged by 51% to 26,600 t.
Exports from port Kavkaz fell by 4% to 99,000 t, imports grew by 15% to 15,500 t, short-sea traffic is flat, year-on-year, at 1.736 mln t.
Passenger turnover is flat, year-on-year, at 335,708 passengers.
Bunker sales at the port dropped by 52% to 16,800 t.
The number of calls climbed by 0.2% to 2,613 calls.
