In January-February 2017, the port of Vyborg handled 160,000 t of cargo (+26%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo surged by 41% to 143,600 t including 4,200 t of coal and coke (+74%) and 82,400 t of mineral fertilizers (+15%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo dropped by 50% to 5,000 t.
Transshipment of general cargo fell by 15% to 10,200 t with metal scrap plunging by 50% to 1,800 t, packaged cargo declining by 4% to 8,100 t and other general cargo showing an increase.
In 2015, the port of Vyborg handled 1.55 mln t of cargo (-8%, year-on-year).
