In January-March 2017, the port of Vyborg handled 251,800 t of cargo (+9%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo surged by 26% to 221,500 t including 8,300 t of coal and coke (-59%) and 123,900 t of mineral fertilizers (-4%) with other dry bulk cargo showing an increase.
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo dropped by 77% to 5,000 t.
Transshipment of general cargo fell by 10% to 14,500 t with metal scrap plunging by 44% to 2,000 t, packaged cargo declining by 2% to 12,200 t and other general cargo showing an increase.
In 2016, the port of Vyborg handled 1.38 mln t of cargo (-11%, year-on-year).
