Marine Recruiting Agency boosts the number of its graduates by 72% in QI’2017

In the 1st quarter of 2017, 503 graduates completed their courses of port-related, road-building and warehousing professional trainings at “Marine Recruiting Agency” LLC (MRA) – a 72% increase from the same period of the last year, says press center of Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg.

Basic professional training courses were chosen by 470 people – two times more than previous year. 178 of them were trained for work trades. The most popular among students are the trades of mooring-men, dockworkers-mechanics, slingsmen and tallymen. 47 students of MRA completed the programmes of retraining for construction, crane operation and other trades, while 245 students chose the advanced training programmes.

Within the mentioned period 33 people took part in the additional professional training programmes, such as labour safety and fire prevention. 

Currently, MRA graduates have successful careers in many major stevedoring companies of the Greater Port of St.Petersburg, the ports of Leningrad Region, Murmansk and Arkhangelsk.

LLC “Marine Recruiting Agency” – a recruiting company, which represents the interests of transport, logistic, construction and other companies of the North-Western region in sphere of recruiting, training and provision of temporary personnel. MRA was established in 2001 and is a subsidiary company of JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg”. On January 01, 2016 the company was certified by Federal Service on Labour and Employment to perform the staffing operations.  

One of the Agency’s specific features is a Training Centre with its own specialized training facilities. Its functions include primary training, re-qualification and upgrade of skills on the basis of various educational programmes.

JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (a member of UCL Port – stevedoring division of the international transportation group UCL Holding) – is the largest provider of cargo handling services for all types of dry cargoes in the Greater Port of Saint-Petersburg.  It operates several state-of-the-art multi-purpose terminals for handling of general and bulk cargoes, as well as specialized terminals for ro-ro cargoes, cars, metals.
