Throughput of port Kavkaz up 52% to 7.468 mln t in 4M’17

In January-April 2017, port Kavkaz handled 7.468 mln t of cargo (+52%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Kavkaz Yevgeny Tuzinkevich told IAA PortNews.

Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 2.438 mln t, up 2.8 times, year-on-year.

Transshipment of oil products grew by 22% to 2.082 mln t, grain – 5.5 times to 1,568,500 t, sulphur and mineral fertilizers – 2.2 times to 630,000 t. Transshipment of LPG fell by 32% to 53,500 t

Exports from port Kavkaz grew by 63% to 373,000 t, imports – by 9% to 30,000 t, short-sea traffic – by 23% to 4.567 mln t.

Passenger turnover declined by 4% to 824,800 passengers.

Bunker sales at the port dropped by 20% to 59,000 t. 

The number of calls climbed by 9% to 6,497 calls.
