Cruise ship Silver Shadow opens Kamchatka cruise season (photo)
Cruise season on Kamchatka opened on 11 May 2017. The first cruise ship to enter the waters of the Avachinskaya Bay was Silver Shadow, says Kamchatka Territory’s Agency of Tourism and External Relations.
“The ship comes from Japan. She carries 368 passengers. The tourists will have one day for sightseeing in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. In the evening the ship will leave for the USA,” says the statement.
Silver Shadow is a 7-deck ship built in 2000, her length is 186 m, width - 25 m, speed - 19 knots. There are about 200 cabins, most of them are luxury cabins.
In 2016, passenger liners delivered more than 5,286 foreign tourists to Kamchatka making 12 calls between April and September.
