Throughput of Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port in Jan-Apr'17 up 28% Y-o-Y to 1.13 mln t
In January-April 2017, Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port handled 1,130,100 t of cargo, which is 28% up, year-on-year, the stevedoring company says.
In the reporting period, transshipment general cargo totaled 270,200 t (including 239,300 t of metal), 630,400 t of dry bulk cargo, 83,300 t of liquid bulk cargo, 11,900 t of other cargo and 6,300 t of timber.
The port’s container throughput totaled 14,329 TEUs.
Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port OJSC is the largest enterprise of the regional port complex. Practically all means of transport and the basic part of the export-import freight traffic passing through the region, close in the port. In 2016, the port’s throughput totaled 2.864 mln t.
