First FESCO block train from Ekaterinburg arrived in Vladivostok
FESCO Transportation Group (“FESCO”) says it is launching FESCO Ural Shuttle East (FUSe), a new block train from Ekaterinburg to Vladivostok.
FUSe departs from Koltsovo railway station once a week. The total transit time is eight days. The first train with consumer goods, metallurgical, chemical and machine-building products arrived at the Vladivostok station on May 14, 2017.
The service is focused on export and domestic cargo transported to Primorsky Krai, as well as the proceeding from the Ural regions to other regions of the Russian Far East as part of intermodal chain, which includes FESCO sea lines to the Chukotka, Magadan, Sakhalin and Kamchatka regions.
FUSe complements the effective FESCO Ural Shuttle from Vladivostok to Yekaterinburg. Loop trains allows to optimize the rolling stocks turnover and to increase its utilization rate. The railway services network expansion is in line with the FESCO’s strategy to develop its core business and to improve the customer services by providing rhythmic transportation with a fixed delivery time.
