In January-April 2017, the port of Vyborg handled 341,300 t of cargo (+13%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo surged by 33% to 304,200 t including 49,500 t of coal and coke (+22%) and 156,500 t of mineral fertilizers (-2%) with other dry bulk cargo showing an increase.
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo dropped by 84% to 5,000 t.
Transshipment of general cargo fell by 17% to 18,500 t with metal scrap plunging by 47% to 21,900 t, packaged cargo falling by 13% to 16,300 t and other general cargo showing an increase.
In 2016, the port of Vyborg handled 1.38 mln t of cargo (-11%, year-on-year).
