Cruise ship Thomson Celebration made its inaugural call to Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg
On 28th of May, cruise ship Thomson Celebration operated by Thomson Cruises has made its inaugural call to Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg, says the port’s press center. Thomson Cruises company was established in 1973 and now operates 7 cruise vessels.
Thomson Celebration was built in 1984, refurbished in 2014. It has 10 decks, 632 cabins, 215 m length and capacity of carrying 1264 passengers on board. The crew is more than 500 persons.
There are such entertaining activities onboard as outdoor swimming pool and two-storey wellness SPA center, sports deck, mini-golf, wide theater program and also restaurants and bars. Cruises on Thomson Celebration are of interest to those who wants quiet and exquisite holiday.
This cruise ship that sails under the Malta flag has left Port of Newcastle (England) on May 21st 2017 for a fifteen-day cruise and has already called port of Oslo (Norway), Göteborg and Stockholm (Sweden) and Tallinn (Estonia). After St. Petersburg it will also call the ports of Helsinki (Finland), Wismar (Germany) and Kalundborg (Denmark), and then come back to port of departure on June 4th.
Traditionally a welcome plaque ceremony was arranged on board the vessel.
