Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg welcomed 42 cruise ships in May 2017

From 01st to 31st of May Passenger port of St. Petersburg received 42 cruise ships which brought 89 999 passengers. The Port says Viking Sky, MSC Fantasia, Norwegian Getaway, Mein Schiff 3 and Thomson Celebration made their inaugural calls. The total berth time of the ships is 76 ship-days, total amount of passenger operations – 313 406.

Services provided to ships:
Fresh water bunkering – 14 760 m3
Garbage collection – 812 m3
Waste-waters reception – 5 996 m3

In the indicated period 7 helicopters have used the helipad of Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg for landing and take-off.

On 2nd of May an opening ceremony of summer cruise season took place at Passenger port of St. Petersburg. The first cruise ship to call Saint Petersburg was Viking Sky, which was greeted with the accompaniment of a military orchestra by the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko and members of the city government.

On 24th of May during the business meeting Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. managing director of global tour operations Roberta Jacoby visited Passenger Port of St. Petersburg.

On 24th May 2017 a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of “Passenger Port of St. Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC was held.
 
On 25th of May a press-conference devoted to the new vessel’s capabilities as well as to the current issues of marine tourism in St. Petersburg was held onboard the ferry "Princess Anastasia".

Maximum number of vessels at the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg this month - 6 vessels on May 28th and 29th.
