The Black Sea Fleet’s escort ship ‘Smetlivy’ has returned to Sevastopol from the Mediterranean Sea

On 3 June, the Black Sea Fleet’s escort ship ‘Smetlivy’, having performed her tasks in the Mediterranean, returned to Sevastopol, the main base of the Black Sea Fleet, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.

The ‘Smetlivy’ under the flag of Vice-Admiral Valery Kulikov, Deputy Commander of the Black Sea Fleet, took part in the test tactical training of the BSF’s surface formation and the far operational zone’s permanent ship formation. During the exercise, the ship fulfilled her tasks of convoying ships, ASW, AD and anti-sabotage defence, carried out missile and artillery fire at an air target and shot down a sea target with artillery fire.
