Commercial Port of Vladivostok (CPV, part of FESCO Transportation Group) and the Port of Tianjin (China) have signed a memorandum on cooperation and exchange of experience. Under the newly signed document, the parties expand the list of services acting as each other’s agents in Russia and China.
Commercial Port of Vladivostok says the document was signed by Zairbek Yusupov, Director General of CPV, and Lu Wei, President of Tianjin Port Group , on 6 June 2017, in Tianjin.
The key goal of the agreement is to boost the cargo turnover between the ports. Under the agreement, the parties will focus their joint efforts on attraction of more cargoes to railway and seaborne transport. Commercial Port of Vladivostok and the Port of Tianjin will create a working group that will develop recommendations on expanding the range of the ports’ services. The parties, as each other’s agents, will upload information about their partner’s services and integrate their settlement systems into their own enterprise software and websites.
The memorandum will also let the parties expand contracts on modernization of their handling operations as well as development of infrastructure and railway transportation.
PAO Commercial Port of Vladivostok (part of FESCO Transportation Group) is one of the largest stevedoring companies in the Russian Far East. The Company offers services on transshipment of container/general/bulk/Rо-Rо cargoes. Annual throughput capacity of the port is 3.9 million tons of general cargo and oil products, 150,000 vehicles and over 600 thousand TEU of containers. Commercial Port of Vladivostok operates 15 berths with a total exceeding 4 km.
