ABP takes on Goole operational staff to drive port quality

ABP says its port of Goole has recently taken on board two new employees to improve port performance and operational efficiency.

Assistant operations managers, John Devlin and Stacey Garner, will prioritise working with customers and staff to manage the safety of operational areas, especially in public access areas of the estate.

The duo who have previous experience at Hull’s All Weather Terminal and Dry Bulks Terminal, will be led by operations and resilience manager, Martin Szakal.

“I am confident that the expertise John and Stacey will bring to Goole is invaluable; improving the outlook of the port and more importantly enforcing safety,” said Martin.

“The community of Goole is very much part of the port therefore it’s vital the port and town work together to make it a safer place for all.”

John and Stacey will be directly involved in supervising the loading and discharging of ships such as the Wienerberger brick vessel and liaising with customers to manage housekeeping and tidiness.

ABP supports 1,000 jobs in Goole which helps to contribute £67 million to the economy every year.
